Introduction to CDEs and LDEs Lesson (AFNR)

This two day lesson focuses on introducing your students to Career Development Events and Leadership Development Events through a CDE/LDE Bootcamp lesson. Students will learn about the following CDEs and LDEs through hands-on, interactive activities: Environmental & Natural Resources CDE, Floriculture CDE, Food Science & Technology CDE, Livestock Evaluation CDE, Milk Quality & Products CDE, Poultry Evaluation CDE, Public Speaking LDE and Veterinary Science CDE. This lesson is contained in the FFA Unit and the Introduction to AFNR course.

Lessons contain all of the resources necessary to successfully deliver the curriculum. Through detailed Instructor Guides, teachers will feel comfortable, no matter their experience, in teaching this unit. Instructor Guides include material lists, time breakdown for the lesson, national standards, instructor pre-work, and an explanation of each component of the lesson, including reflection and conclusion questions/answers.
