Agribusiness Systems & SAEs Unit (AFNR)

This 15 day unit from the Introduction to AFNR Course focuses on introducing students to agribusiness terminology and record keeping. Through AET scenarios and step-by-step procedures, students will become familiar with AET and will learn how to properly and accurately keep records on their Supervised Agricultural Experiences.

This unit includes an entrepreneurship and placement SAE scenario and provides students with step-by-step procedures on how to keep records of these SAEs. It also contains a monthly SAE record check sheet so students know what they should be updating in AET and instructors have a means for monitoring students’ SAE records.

Lessons contain all of the resources necessary to successfully deliver the curriculum. Through detailed Instructor Guides, teachers will feel comfortable, no matter their experience, in teaching this unit. Instructor Guides include material lists, time breakdown for the lesson, national standards, instructor pre-work, and an explanation of each component of the lesson, including reflection and conclusion questions/answers.
